This is a non-exhaustive list of general policies upheld by Hotel Sor. Should you require any clarification on terms not stated here, please contact us directly.

The Hotel reserves the right to add to, alter or amend any of the above terms, conditions and rules as and when it deems nessesary.

GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • HOTEL POLICYS

    CHILDREN
    The Hotel allows a child up to 6 years of age to stay for free using the existing bedding. Baby cribs are upon request and subject to availability. Individuals above the age of 12 are considered as adults by the Hotel.


    EXTRA BEDDING
    For Superior and Deluxe Rooms, an extra bed for a third occupant is allowed and is chargeable from USD15.00++ per night excluding breakfast, unless stated in the specific rate plan. The charge will automatically be included upon selection of more than 2 adults during reservation. Extra bed is strictly not allowed in the Deluxe Family and Premier Rooms.


    REQUESTS
    All requests entered into the ‘Requests’ box on the Hotel website booking engine are subject to availability and the Hotel bears no responsibility should it be unable to fufill certain requests.


    ROOM OCCUPANCY
    The total number of occupants in a room, including children, shall not exceed the maximum number of occupants permitted for the respective room types:

    Superior Room               : up to 3 persons
    Deluxe Room                  : up to 3 persons
    Deluxe Family Room     : up to 4 persons
    Premier Room                : up to 4 persons
    Cabana (split level)        : up to 3 persons
    Cabana (single level)     : up to 4 persons

    If you have any questions or clarifications regarding the Hotel's Maximum Occupancy Policy, our staff will be happy to explain in detail. Please also note that the Hotel reserves the right to refuse entry to any additional guest exceeding the maximum occupancy allowed for that room type.

  • CHECK IN / CHECK OUT POLICYS

    AGE REQUIREMENT
    Guests must be 18 years or older with photo identification to check-in. Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of stay. The Hotel reserves the right to check photo identification.


    CHECK-IN / CHECK-OUT
    Unless otherwise stated in the specific rate plan terms & conditions, check-in time is after 3 p.m. and check-out time is 11 a.m. For early arrival before 3 p.m., it is recommended to pre-book the room one day in advance with a full day charge. The Hotel may accommodate late check-out after 11a.m. for an additional fee; subject to room availability.

  • GENERAL POLICIES

    DAMAGE TO HOTEL PROPERTY
    The Hotel reserves the right to charge guests the cost of rectifying damage or soiling, caused by accidental, deliberate, negligent or reckless act of the guest to the Hotel's property or structure.
     

    NO COOKING IN GUEST ROOM
    In consideration of the safety of other guests and our employees, the preparation of food in guest rooms using any type of cooking appliances is strictly prohibited. The hotel reserves the right to charge the guest for the cost of rectifying damage to the hotel's property or structure caused by the use of such of such applicances.


    SAFE DEPOSIT BOX
    Guests are encouraged to keep their valuables in the in-room safe or in the Safe Deposit Box provided at the Front Desk. The Hotel shall not be liable for the loss of money or other personal valuables during your stay.


    PARKING
    Staying guests are limited to 2 parking tickets daily.


    PETS
    The Hotel maintains a strict no-pets policy on its premises except for guide dogs.


    PROHIBITED ITEMS
    The following items are not permitted in the Hotel premises:

    • Animals of any kind, except guide dogs
    • Flammable, explosive or otherwise hazardous materials
    • Objects emitting a foul odour (e.g. Durian)
    • Unregistered firearms or other weapons
    • Objects of an unusually large size or in unusually large quantities
    • Articles related to use in gambling, prostitution, smuggling or other illicit activity
    • Illegal drugs or other articles, the possession of which is prohibited by the laws of Singapore

    The Hotel reserves the right to refuse entry to any guest found to be in possession of prohibited items. Guests shall be solely liable and responsible for all loss financial or otherwise, and damage that may be caused by such items.


    VISITORS
    In the interest of your well-being and security, all visitors are required to register at the Front Desk and are requested to leave guestrooms by 11.00 p.m.

    EXCESSIVE NOISE AND PARTIES
    T​o ensure all guests enjoy the comfort and safety of the facilities we offer, the Hotel upholds a strict zero tolerance policy towards commotion, excessive noise and parties. Any person found to be on our premises creating excessive noise, having a party, exceeding the numbers of permitted guests or otherwise causing a disturbance will be requested to leave the hotel without refund.


    INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR
    Should any action by a guest, may it be towards our staff or otherwise, be deemed inappropriate by the Hotel, or if any inappropriate behaviour is brought to attention, the Hotel reserves the right, after the allegations have been investigated, to take action against the guest which may result in, but not limited to, being asked to leave without a refund for any services incurred.


    SMOKING
    Smoking is only permitted in designated areas of the Hotel. A deep-cleaning fee of S$200 net will be charged for us to restore the room to its original condition if you are found to have smoked in the room.

  • HEALTH AND WELL-BEING POLICIES

    Singapore’s COVID-19 situation has remained stable in recent months with more safety measures stepped down, we are moving towards an endemic COVID-19 new norm.

    For the safety of yourself and the community, guests are encouraged to continue practise social responsibility. Should you be unwell with symptoms of COVID-19 or other respiratory infections, you are strongly advised to wear a mask and see a doctor immediately.

    CLEANING AND SANITISATION

    In June 2020, we were awarded the SG Clean quality mark in recognition of our commitment to upholding good sanitisation and hygiene practices. This certification is awarded to us after being audited by an independent assessor and is backed by government agencies such as National Environment Agency (NEA), Enterprise Singapore (ESG), Singapore Tourism Board (STB), and Singapore Food Agency (SFA). The SG Clean campaign is a government effort to rally businesses and the public to adopt good personal habits and social responsibility to keep Singapore clean and safe. 

    On-going hygiene protocols include:

    •    We adopt the highest standard in cleaning and disinfecting high traffic customer service touchpoints. Hand sanitisers are prominently placed throughout employee areas, reception desk, lifts and entrances. All high touch areas such as remote controls in the guestrooms, door handles, lift buttons, reception, and sofas will be deep cleaned and sanitised frequently. All cleaning activities will be recorded in the cleaning log after completion.

    •    Our team members have been guided on the correct hand-washing techniques and are reminded of the importance of good hygiene. All chefs are required to wash and sanitise their hands frequently.

    •    We encourage the use of e-payment methods such as Scan & Pay and PayWave for a contactless experience.  

  • PAYMENT

    CURRENCY AND TAX
    Rates are in Singapore dollars and are subject to 10% service charge and prevailing Goods & Services Tax (GST), unless otherwise stated.


    CREDIT CARD PRE-AUTHORISATION
    If you are using your credit card to guarantee your room reservation, the Hotel may hold an amount on your credit card prior to arrival. For non-refundable bookings, prepayment will be charged to your card prior to your arrival.


    DEPOSITS

    1. ROOM CHARGES
      For online bookings made through the Hotel website, unless stated in individual rate plan terms and conditions, a deposit equivalent to the first night room charge shall be deducted from the credit card upon completion of booking. No refund shall be made if your reservation is cancelled or modified within 48 hours prior to check-in date. No refund shall be made if stay dates overlap 24 December to 1 January, during the F1 period for that year and other selected dates stipulated in the individual rate plan.

      Unless full length of stay has been prepaid, the Hotel requires a deposit for remaining room charges upon check-in.
       
    2. INCIDENTAL CHARGES
      For all reservations, the Hotel requires a deposit for incidental charges upon check-in. 

    Deposit may be placed in cash or on a credit card at check-in time. For deposit using credit card, pre-authorisation by the Hotel is required.


    THIRD-PARTY BOOKING SOURCES
    In the case of cancellation or modifications to reservations made through sources other than directly with the Hotel or the Hotel website, the Hotel recommends that guests first contact their source of booking for assistance before approaching Hotel staff.

BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • DEPOSIT AND PRE-AUTHORISATION
    • For non-prepaid bookings, the Hotel reserves the right to either collect cash deposit or request for pre-authorisation of the full amount for the stay period based on the credit card details provided upon check-in.
    • A minimum cash deposit of SGD100.00 for each night of stay or a valid credit card is required upon check-in for incidentals in addition to full payment of room and tax.


    Please note that the Hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise the booker's credit card 24 hours prior to arrival. This places the pre-authorised amount in a holding state which also temporarily reduces one’s credit limit. The pre-authorisation is not a charge and no funds will be debited from the account, this will also not be reflected in the credit card statement since no charge has been made. The credit limit will be released back to the cardholder within 2-4 weeks depending on the issuing bank. 

  • NO PARTY POLICY

    To ensure all guests enjoy the comfort and safety of the facilities we offer, York Hotel Singapore upholds a strict zero tolerance to parties and excessive noise. Any person found to be on our premises creating excessive noise, having a party or exceeding the numbers of permitted guests will be requested to leave the hotel without refund.

  • GENERAL POLICIES

    For Deluxe Rooms, an extra bed for a third occupant is chargeable at USD15.00++ per night without breakfast unless stated in the specific rate plan. The charge will be automatically included upon selection of more than 2 adults for the reservation.  

  • CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT
    • Check-in time : 14.00 PM
    • Check-out time : 11.00 AM
  • PAYMENT

    CURRENCY AND TAX
